 Your Role and Impact

Our Product Analytics department enables teams to take better decisions based on data. Data is a critical part of our product development process, and Product Analysts are their chief advocates. We are looking for a Lead Product Analyst who guides a team of Product Analysts, performing analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business.

Your team works across the entire product development lifecycle, from early data explorations about user behavior to experiments and optimizations of shipped products. You - and your team – will work closely in cross-functional teams together with Product Owners, Designers and Engineers. You will drive the data mindset in these teams, guide them in terms of methodology and always give analytical evidence as to why we do certain things, thereby challenging and contributing to product decisions based on the insights gathered. As a Lead Product Analyst, you and your team will function as data explorers, educators, and partners in the decision-making process.

 What You’ll Do

  • You’ll build and manage a team of Product Analysts across our Berlin, Dublin and Helsinki offices
  • You’ll lead and coach a group of team-embedded Product Analysts
  • You’ll prioritize a backlog of high-impact analytics projects according to clear user, business, and technical criteria
  • You’ll define, track, and report on key business and product success metrics
  • You’ll identify, translate, prioritize important product questions based on data (i.e. web analytics, microstrategy, exasol)
  • You’ll explore data to find actionable insights and make product recommendations through funnels, cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, regression models, and more
  • You’ll set-up, analyze, and promote good practices for multivariate experiments

 What You Bring

  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role and a degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
  • You have a deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense
  • You have a passion for making sense of user behavior
  • You have recent experience of using more advanced analytics and some combination of:
    • Statistical software language and environment (like R, SQL, Python)
    • Analytics tools experience (Google Analytics, Microstrategy, Bigquery)
    • Experience performing analysis with large datasets and a deep understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis
  • You drive projects with minimal guidance and focus on high impact work
  • You effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas to others and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
  • You are thoughtful, self-aware, and use available evidence to make decisions
