The People and Organization products team at Zalando is looking for a Devops Engineer to be responsible for building our training platform and training application.


Your responsibilities

  • Be the technical application owner of Zalando’s training platform and other training applications
  • Design, coordinate or implement important technical enhancements with the software vendor or by yourself
  • Develop interfaces to connected applications, such as the HCM or data warehouses
  • Ensure and improve backbone operations of the training platform and training applications
  • Help our IT support team to solve complex incidents
  • Ensure that the systems are running stable and to improve them continuously
  • Provide great user experience for products



  • You have a degree in IT or similar practical experience
  • You have proven experience with database management systems (PostgreSQL, MS SQL) and ETL processes
  • You have experience in software development with one or more programming languages, for example Python or Go
  • You are proficient in deployment processes
  • You take ownership of your responsibilities and can work in a structured, independent manner
  • You are a team player, love working in a dynamic working environment and consider end-to-end processes instead of working in silos.
  • Communicating and documenting in English is an easy task for you.
  • Being able to communicate in German is an advantage, but not required.
  • Experience in managing cloud solutions is considered as an advantage
